Tamkang Times【Department Navigation】 Professor Chih-Hsin Chen and His Research Team Publish Two Consecutive Papers in Major International Journals

Chair of the Chemistry Department, Chih-Hsin Chen, and his students have jointly published two research papers. Postdoctoral researcher Rajib Nandi and undergraduate student Yung-Jung Chuang authored the paper titled ‘Liquid crystal sensor for Cr(III)-citrate detection via interfacial coagulation,’ which was published in Analytica Chimica Acta, with an impact factor of 5.7.

Additionally, Professor Chen supervised master’s student Wen-Hao Chang in publishing the paper ‘Cyano-substituted Bis((benzothiophen-2-yl)pyridine) (acetylacetonate) iridium complexes for efficient and stable deep red organic light-emitting diodes emitting at 673 nm.’ This research, featuring cyano-substituted iridium complexes (Ir(btpCN)₂(acac)) that emit deep red light at a wavelength of 673 nm, was published in Dyes and Pigments, which has an impact factor of 4.1. Both journals are classified as Q1 in their respective scientific fields.
