Chemistry Department Engages in Academic Exchange with Two Vietnamese Universities to Discuss Chemistry and Natural Sciences
According to the Ministry of Education’s 113th annual plan for strengthening cooperation and exchanges with ASEAN and South Asian countries, the Department of Chemistry at Tamkang University collaborated with Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) and Tay Nguyen University (TNU) in Vietnam to host the TKU-HUIT-TNU Joint Symposium on Chemistry and Natural Sciences. The symposium was held on May 13-14 at the Shou Qian International Conference Center (HC305).
The event was organized by Distinguished Professor San-Lang Wang and Associate Professor Chung-Hung Hsieh of the Chemistry Department, bringing together 11 professors from the three universities to present their latest research findings. Additionally, 20 research posters were showcased, attracting participation from master’s and PhD students from both Taiwan and Vietnam, as well as undergraduate students from Tamkang University, with a total attendance of over 120.
Three Tamkang Chemistry PhD alumni, mentored by Professor Wang, participated from Tay Nguyen University, including Associate Professor Van Bon Nguyen, who has been recognized among the top 2% of scientists globally.
