Department of Chemistry Graduation Ceremony: Lin Chien-Hsiang Welcomes Graduates to Frequently Return to Their Alma Mater.

The Department of Chemistry held its own graduation ceremony at 12:00 noon on June 7 in the Chung Ling Branch Library on the 3rd floor of the Chemistry Building. Department Chairperson Chih-Hsin Chen encouraged the graduates to reflect not only on the knowledge they gained at Tamkang University, but also on the life lessons learned during their time here. He urged them to cultivate their own ‘Tamkang spirit’ and to continue striving toward their future goals.

Distinguished alumnus of the Department of Chemistry and President of the Tamkang Elite Association, Lin Chien-Hsiang, made a special appearance at the event. He shared that during his time as a student, very few classmates were able to graduate together, as the faculty in the Department of Chemistry were known for their strict standards. Those who did graduate were truly outstanding. ‘It’s been nearly 50 years since I graduated, and I’m deeply grateful to the Department of Chemistry. I’ve continued to give back to my alma mater. I encourage all of you—after graduation, if you encounter any challenges, don’t hesitate to come back and talk to your professors.’
