From the Classroom to Industry: Department of Chemistry Faculty and Students Visit Chung Wei Industrial Co., Ltd. and Everlight Chemical Industrial Corporation

On June 17, the Department of Chemistry at Tamkang University, led by Chair Chen Chih-Hsin, took 30 students on an industrial visit to Chung Wei Industrial Co., Ltd., operated by Lin Chien-Hsiang, President of the Department of Chemistry Elite Alumni Association, and Everlight Chemical Industrial Corporation, whose Honorary Chairman Chen Ting-Chuan is an alumnus of Tamkang University’s Department of International Trade (now the Department of International Business).

During the visit, Lin Chien-Hsiang and Yang Cheng-Kang, Plant Manager of Everlight Chemical’s Second Plant, personally introduced their companies’ development histories and current industry trends. The tour provided students with firsthand insight into the practical operations of the chemical industry, helping them gain a deeper understanding of career opportunities and better plan their future professional and academic goals.
