Tamkang University Department of Chemistry Ranks No. 1 Worldwide in U.S. News & World Report’s Top 1% Highly Cited Papers Indicator

U.S. News & World Report, the first U.S. publication to produce global university rankings, released its 2026–2027 Best Global Universities Rankings on June 16. Tamkang University was ranked No. 1 among Taiwan’s private non-medical universities in the overall rankings. In subject-specific rankings, Tamkang was recognized in two fields—Chemistry and Engineering. Notably, the University’s Chemistry discipline achieved the world’s No. 1 ranking in the “Top 1% Most Highly Cited Papers” indicator under the category of Research Performance, highlighting its outstanding academic excellence and international research impact.
