Traditionally, chemistry is often perceived as a theory-oriented discipline, seemingly distant from future career prospects. In reality, however, chemistry serves as a crucial foundation for high-tech, biomedical, materials, and environmental industries. According to Professor Chen Chih-Hsin, Chair of the Department of Chemistry at Tamkang University, chemistry expertise is no longer a single skill but an expansive applied capability. Students can pursue interdisciplinary learning based on their own interests, thereby creating differentiated competitiveness in the workplace.
